1. the food is just average.. only the thosai beat the ones in sg. for everything else, nothing beats singapore! heh
2. the streets remind me of old malaysia.
3. the traffic there is crazy! i only saw one traffic light for pedestrians. all the rest are zebra crossings(which none of the vehicles actually stop at for pedestrians to cross).
4. they just change lanes like nobody's business.
5. they don't give a damn abt traffic lights.
6. they honk like there's no tmr!
7. i wake up every morning to the symphony of honks. i swear i felt like taking a brick and throwing it at their windshields and hoped it would hit their heads! i was surprised that i didnt see at least one road accident a day.
8. they don't have taxis. they have tuk tuks. i'm not quite sure what it's called there. heh..
9. there are many many signs of hotels such as majestic hotel, vegetarian hotel, etc. they are not hotels. they are in fact eating places. abt half the "hotels" i saw there are eating places.

anyway,

i've got to learn to stand up for myself.

i never ever express how pissed i'm feeling towards pple i'm close to. well, except for my family that is. that's the beauty of a family. you can do whatever the hell you want and there'll be a few screams here and there and everything will be normal again cos you're family. and that's that.

if i'm pissed at pple i dunno, i'll show it to their faces but when it comes to friends, i'll resort to just LOADS of eye-rolling and bitching and face spasms just for e sake of not causing tension. call me a backstaber. see if i care. call me a coward for not confronting it. i'll say okay. cos i accept that I am one.

i know myself well. you can say anything you want abt me and i won't care cos i just don't.

i have no problems at all with my self-esteem. pple talk won't break me. i dun need to constantly compare myself with others and feel good abt myself when i do better than others. that's just disgusting. furthermore, pple are entitled to say whatever they want. as am i.

i watched cheaper by the dozen2 earlier. it was an okay movie. nice family movie la. nothing fantastic except for the twins! i absolutely looove them cos they're so bratty. kherkher..

if all goes according to plan, i'll be watching the long weekend tmr n memoirs of a geisha on tue! so that's 3 movies in a week! ooooh.. so fun!

happy birthday sham!!

ate at ubin seafood at bukit timah. sham's treat! was damn good lah! n the bill wasnt too bad also.

we later sneaked out to go to o bar and damn was i glad i did. it was fantabulous!! had greatt funnn.. wat with the weird german guy n the best just has to be that negro guy. he's the one man show! hahaha

later went to shah alam where there were more laughter and even more "dei"s!! special thanks to venky n his cousin for that. watching the both of them talk is like watching tv show. damn funny even tho i didnt noe wat they were talkg abt. haha..

i almost didnt get to go tho.. cos my mom was awake till like 12++. her lights were still on n all. in the end we just waited for her to switch off the lights n risked it cos her tv was still on. thankfully, nora was with her friend, remmy, who picked us up. yayy!

n rozzie was saying that the party didnt really start till we came cos everyone was just standing round watching soccer before that. haha..

gonna watch le grand voyage with hillie n dilah n maybe hama tmr! yayy! i cant remember the last time i watched a movie. yayy! can't wait!

i bought new specs! yayy!

walked past this shop at tm basement n was just looking at some pairs n tried on a few. there was an offer for one brand of specs. $88 for a pair(frame+lens) n a second pair at 50%. how cool is that rite??

and then they guy just HAD to take out some solvil titus ones which were damn nice! very nice very nice.. and they were on offer too! just that their offer was like $198 for a pair!!

so i told him i'd be back later. had dinner, shopped ard for a while, saw a pretty bapok, bought a sandal and then we went back to the shop, this time together with mom n fara.

he took out a whole load of frames for us to try n i fell in love with 3. 2 solvil titus n one i-forgot-wat brand. i kept on trying those 3 n being indecisive, got everyone else to help me choose which to get.

my mom got a pair too.. i think it was cyma..

n the guy got us to get this super thin lens cos it's on promotion. buy one get one free.. n my mom's frame was on 30% discount.

and since my mom's pair was more expensive and my lens were free, i only pay for 50% of my frame! oooohh.. that's like just $89 for my specs. oooohh..

but then i decided to split the total cost with my mom. so it's like $219 lah.

so yeah, i went to a shop to get $66 specs (cos it's $88+$44 for 2 pairs) and got suckered to get $219 specs. soooo clever for wat?? but i'm not regretting it. i think they're lovely!

but then again, i actually only have to pay $89 for mine n i just decided to be nice n split with my mom that's why i end up paying $219 rite? rite?

so i only went for 2 days of school this week. no more of this from now on fiza. i have to be more semangat. i'm taking like 4 math modules can. altho one will be quite slack since it's roger poh's. but the rest are kinda scary.

heard linear programming is hard to catch up with if u skip. modelling via ODE is fun cos the lecturer's funny but the questions are scary. i dunno where to start. even the lecturer called us ambitious second year students. wow thanks.

not surprisingly, i'm not in school today. was KINDA looking forward to it.

then it rained.

and anyone who knows me well enough would know what a bum i am when it rains. not that i am not a bum at other times but i turn into an even greater bum when it rains. i absolutely will NOT go out.

made an exception yesterday though. and i'm glad i did! =)

met up with the bday girls, muk n erni, yesterday! it was lepak but fun. shera was the first one there again! oooohh.. i came an hour late cos had to buy some stuff for my grandma but muk was the star karat as usual.. kherkher..

had some food at banquet then we gave them their presents which they absolutely loved! then headed to coffee bean to lepak some more. still waiting for photos from erni. hee..

went to dingyi's party after that. the place is damn ulu man.. at the national servicemen resort and country club or smthg like that. had funnn for the most part.

anyway, i find it sad that i'm 20 n i have curfew.

but i find it even sadder that diana's turning 21 and working and contributing to the household and she has curfew.

they say only naughty girls have curfew.

i say, i'm not naughty waaaat.. hmmmf

this holidays, i've been on a bollywood frenzy! wheeeeeee... i liiike!

ok so not really. it's more of a my favourite bollywood frenzy which means looaadds of shah rukh *slluuurrpss* yummy! n kajol! n some rani, priety n saif ali here n there.

despite alredi watching these shows, i watched kuch kuch, k3g(twice), mujhse dosti karoge(twice), kal ho naa ho, salaam namaste(thrice) n dilwale dulhania le jayenge. i absolutely love love love these shows! =) =) =) oh n i caught part of mohabbatein. find it quite boring now.. just watched glimpses of it to see shah rukh's face! haha.. pathetic i noe but he's oh so irresistable n yummylicious. hee..

arjun rampal's hott too but noone can beat shah rukh. =)

i wanted to sleep over rozzie's place on sat (read: check out mos) on sat but my mom tak kasi.. booooo.. was supposed to go mos on my bday also but fara looked at me funny(meaning she might tell on me) when i was making plans so tak jadi also. boooo..

anyway, fara's weird now. she had sort of a breakdown after streaming last yr n now the signs are back. she just started school lah.. i dun get it. just last night, she started to just stare at her timetable. n while doin her assignment(at a super slow speed cos of all the staring), she like teared up n her face went all funny.. like trying to keep it in. quite worried for her.. but she wont say it out one.. nonsense lah she. let's hope it's just for yesterday.

tok haji (my grandpapa) always gets weird "dreams" when he's sleeping over at my place. he always "dreams" of ghosts.

i dunno why but he says it's always at my place. he lives in a kampung n he dsnt get these kinda "dreams". and that he always sleeps in my room on my bed is quite discomforting.

the first one he told was last yr i think. he "saw" a lady or a girl (i dun quite remember) in purple with long hair and an arm outstretched towards him. she was standing at the foot of my bed and her face was tilted downwards but he could see her eyes looking at him. he began to read some ayats and the female being, funny as it sounds, burst into flames.

the most recent one was just 2 nites ago. he was awoken at 4 am to an old woman with long white hair pulling and asking for the blanket. creepy for wat rite?? and after she asked for the blanket, she laughed, inadvertently showing that she's boge (toothless). hahaha.. *shudders*

anyway, tok haji's quite funny nowadays. once last yr we were watching news when there were a lot of reports on murders and he went,

"tsk tsk tsk.. you see nowadays pple kill other pple like killing...

pause..

chickens!"

hahahha.. and the nite before xmas, he called. i picked up the phone to him saying, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" cheerfully. hahahhaha.. even sheda commented that he's quite cheerful nowadays.

wow my mom just told me to do my work slower. haha..

"brape lagi tinggal? why so fast? do slower lah.."

and she was rushing us just last week. haha..

anyway, at raudhah's (or rather liza's i think) recommendation, i went to check out ambrosia cafe with di, az and rozzie on new year's eve. but i was utterly disappointed. and so were the rest i think. thank god the company was superbbb!

firstly, the food wasnt that nice for that kinda price. and the food was served COLD. ok so we were sitting at the other outlet with no kitchen n they have to bring the food from the other outlet but hello!! the other outlet is just like 2 doors away!! absolutely NO reason at all for the food to be served cold. boooo..

and the waitress didnt even noe wat's on the menu. when i placed my order, she went, "which one is that, ah?" boooo..

but the food presentation, ambience, decor and music was nice. i love love the music the best! and the cosy atmosphere (read: darkness) got to us after a while. i reckon they made it dark so that we can't see how dirrrty the place was. and we joked that they were trying to save electricity cos only HALF the lights were switched on and the toilet doesn't have lights! haha!

diana: umm the toilet doesn't have lights?
waitress: no.. that's why there's a lamp there..

hahahaha..

az left to go to her friend anna's place for a house party and rozzie headed back home with us where we ushered in the new year watching just like heaven, sin city and half of the green mile. haha.. lovely lovely shows! i liiike..

anyway... i missssss myyyyyy caaaammmmeeeerrrraaaaa... it's just sitting on my living room table waiting to be repaired. =( =( =( hurray for az who brought her cam that day! was starting to miss just the presence of a working camera. haha..
